I proclaimed: “America’s in trouble,” to my audience, after the 2008 election and then again in November of 2012, because I knew what Barack Obama stood for.

Many in the media claimed they knew nothing about the man, but that it was a historical event that America elected its first African American President.

I ascertain it was journalism malpractice for the evidence existed pertaining to Barack Obama’s background, what he believed and who he associated with.

It’s no coincidence he attended a church in Chicago, for some 20 years, that its Pastor often said: “God, damn America!”

When Barack Obama was campaigning for the presidency, he said he never remembered his pastor saying anything like that when there was audiotape of that statement made by Barack Obama’s spiritual leader.  He was friends with socialists who he quickly separated himself from when he ran for office as well.

The simple fact is Barack Obama doesn’t view America as most people do.  That would explain why he apologizes to foreign dignitaries for the experiment deemed “America.”

The 1970 movie “Tora! Tora! Tora!” dramatizes the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.   In the film, Admiral Yamamoto, a Japanese naval commander, lamented upon the fact that the Americans didn’t receive a declaration of war until after the attack had started, noting that nothing would infuriate Americans more.  He said: “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

Well … I believe America is comprised of compassionate people who believe in liberty and the pursuit of truth.  Yet, there are those who dwell within its borders who have a different take on what America really is.

Only time will tell, but from what I hear from my reading audience and those I meet in public, I believe Barack Obama and his associates have awakened a sleeping giant in the citizenry of this great country we call home.

A book worth reading is “Divider-in-Chief.”  The book’s synopsis, on Amazon, reads as follows:

“When Barack Obama ran on a platform of ‘Hope & Change’ he promised to unite the country.  But as Kate Obenshain, author of ‘Divider-in-Chief: The Fraud of Hope and Change,’ published in 2012, reveals, Obama has done exactly the opposite.

Rather than seeking common sense, pro-American solutions, he has pursued far-left policies, a radical leftist agenda, and an attitude that’s both condescending and dismissive of Main Street America.  As a result, America has become a nation of even greater polarization and disillusionment.

In the book, Obenshain exposes how Obama pushed for the HHS mandate, forcing people of faith to violate their conscience, how the President has condoned the actions of Occupy Wall Street, saying, ‘You are the reason I ran for office,’ while he continues to vilify free markets and businessmen across America, how Obama seizes on opportunities to highlight racial discord and then accuses any critic of being ‘A Racist,’ and that, although Obama ran as a champion for the downtrodden, the unemployment rate is disproportionately high among minorities and women.

The Author paints a picture of a President who promotes class warfare, aggravating racial, gender, and economic differences in order to advance his ideological agenda.”

I’ve been saying for a while that America’s not the problem, Barack Obama’s ideology is.  By saying such things, I might be labeled a racist, but I believe the race card has grown stale.

Polls show the President’s approval rating is declining and that Americans aren’t happy with the direction our politicians are taking the country.

Many of the political pundits, experts in their field, are predicting a landslide win for the Republicans in the fall.  If that happens, Barack Obama would truly be a lame duck president.

The Republican Party will be given an opportunity to steer the country back on course as perception holds.  If they take the moral high ground, as well as a logical and conservative approach to how taxpayer money is spent, they could very well maintain a majority in Washington, D.C.
